28 days later isn't scary but it's got some fast paced zombie action, which is kinda unheard of. Worth the 6.85$ i paid on cheap night at the cineplex.

A movie that scared the CRAP out of me when I was about 11 or 12 is "Happy Birthday to Me". It's about this chick who has all these preppy friends but she's prone to blackouts because she almost drowned with her mom in a car... and all her friends start dying and she thinks she might be doing it... it's MESSED UP, and I had nightmares for a week.

"Event Horizon", for whatever reason, FREAKED ME OUT. *shrug*
          Same here, scary ass movie.

What about The Exorcist! That is as freaky as any movie ever is/was. That movie should have never been made. It's too freaky *shudders*

13 Ghosts was a good FX scary movie.

Event Horizon is definatly one for the list.
I had it on DVD for a while, but sold it off.
It's the only movie I've ever seen that actually gave me bad dreams whenever I watched it. No other movie I've seen has ever done that to me...

We need a young priest, and an old priest.

That way, when the old one gets tired of molesting the small boys, the young one can take over.

                (You saw it coming, right?)

Way back when, my bro had a B&W 8mm copy of "Creature From The Black Lagoon" that he would thread up and run for us kids every so often. The Creature was the most abominable corruption of the human form I'd ever seen. Scared the holy crap out of me.

The original "Alien" gave me nightmares for 6 months.

Ok, saw it on a great system. I guess I missed suspense. I almost fell asleep in it.

I cough up scarier stuff than that!

Oh well, time to see if Event Horizon is as scary as I remember...

Hmm, scary movies...i have to say that Brad Dourif's Chuckie voice creeped the hell out of me, no other movie has even come close. Rosemary's Baby&The Shining are great in terms of atmosphere too, though. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, while not being necessarily scary, had this grip over me that it seemed the shortest movie i'd ever seen, 90 minutes passed like 5-a great piece of work! On, and I don't know about you guys, but "Boys don't cry" was a VERY disturbing movie-the only term I can think of to describe it is ugly...just plain ugly, to know that there are people like that out there.

You probably watched Session 9 on a sunny day during lunch or sth. - you must watch it at night of course for the right athmosphere.

No, it was at night, lights off, Dark, Volume up...

Movie was slow, drug out, and nothing really happened until the end, and that was really dry.
