Yes and no.
Yes it there fault for having bloated buggy software and it also user fault for supplying patches when they're announced.
Microsoft isn't responsible for the users. Don't forget theres also holes in other packages that ain't exploited becuase it wouldn't have the same impact.

The article was a Half-hearted attempt to discredit Microsoft. I'm by no means a Microsoft Fanboy, but that article was pure pablum.
One could argue that if everything were linux-driven, it would be just as susceptible. They are somewhat right in saying that a multiplatform artchitecture is more resilient to a specific type of attack, but most medium + sized businesses are already built around two or more platforms. To be truly resilient, you would need dual redundant systems using two different platforms, and that friends is simply not an option.Hey, Donny! We got us a German who wants to die for his country...
