  • Toddler survives three weeks alone on ketchup

    Amazing little girl
How this little girl survived alone is amazing. The mother should be forced to live on a desert island with nothing but a bottle of ketchup.

Goes to show, having children make you a parent, as having a piano makes you a pianist.

They could always tie her down, cover her in ketchup and let a colony of fire ants loose on her. That seems fitting.

I'd go with some people should be sterilized, but it's not my line (or sig).

I'm all for a parenting fitness test, with forced (reversible) sterilization in the event of a failure.

Yes, but the Supreme Court disagrees.

I certainly agree that there are people unfit to be parents, but everybody disagrees as to what those qualities are. I don't like the way things are, but eugenics is worse.

I don't agree with a parenting fitness test, but I would agree to sterilization in a case like this, to prevent future offspring from having the same fate.

It's to bad you can't just turn off reproduction until people decide to have children. Then make them get a degree or certificate in parenting (1 or 2 years of school). Only the people that really want to have children would. Also, only the people that can afford to have children would (school must be paid for). If you can't afford to feed yourself you should not have children.

F'ing around (pun intended ) with our reproductive cycle probably isn't the smartest thing to do, you never know when some horrific natural (or unnatural) disaster might decimate the population.

I do think that people who do terrible things like that should be punished in the conventional ways, then forbidden from having another child until 10 years pass and they can show that they have become responsible enough to support one. If they have another before then, and especially if they try to get government support (wellfare or whatever) they probably should be sterilized.

OMFG! This pisses me off so bad. I keep imagining this little girl trying to fall asleep every night, scared, alone...not knowing what is going on. She is so young, she barely knows anything. Her mind is trying to figure out the next step even though she doesn't know that is what she is supposed to be doing. I swear I would shoot that mom if she were standing in front of me.
Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice.

Well guess now we know who gets custody (sp?) of the girl when the divorce goes through!
If a kid asks where rain comes from, I think a cute thing to tell him is "God is crying." And if he asks why God is crying, another cute thing to tell him is "Probably because of something you did."
