Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard coated bastards with bastard filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive, bubble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine. -- Dr. Perry Cox

Yes, that's a very Effectiv T desk. Even park my car on it to run diagnostics on the computer, for minor repairs and oil changes. Don't like reading magazines.

You printing cheques Paddy? Why not just print cash?

Well, if you don't get greedy, probably cash. Cheques are too traceable. (psssst! gotta be careful here. we might get picked up on keywords. take a look out your window, any strange looking vans out there?)

My view of home ergonomics is very simple: if I can reach it from the bed, it must be in the right place

That's great! Can you swivel it over for IN bed?

Of course...the KB reaches into bed as well and with key combinations&those clever extra buttons I can easily check my early-morning SPAM

I also usually leave a pot of tea overnight on the desk, between these two and my gf, it's a nice way to wake up in the morning.

Update on my camera saga (here's as good a place as any to put it ):

Well, the mailroom people here were admirable. The however got snarled up by Parcel Farce's beaurocracy (or plain stubbonness/uselessness, as you like it). They were about to give up and order me another one (no charge to me of course), when I had a note through from Amazon saying that they had just sent off a replacement as they take full responsibility for me receiving stuff.

So I now have my camera Yeah!

Interestingly, the one party in all of this who are most likely at fault (Parcel Farce) are the only ones who hardly lifted a finger to help, and didn't offer to buy me a replacement. Typical. But that means over the weekend I'll post a picture of my desktop

There is a small chance that I might end up with 2 cameras (if the other one ever turns up). If I had been evil and nasty, I could even have ended up with 3 - 1 original, 1 extra for Amazon and 1 from work. But I'm more than happy to have just one, even if it is about 4 weeks after I should have had it.
