Most emissions are created at the start of the vehicle. I believe it was Volvo that came up with a solution of storing the first emissions in a balloon, and then having the engine reprocess them when it was warm. It passed all of CA's emission standards with flying colors, but got canned. Wish I had a link to reference.

IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP AS THEY ARE SELLING QUICK...

I don't know if you've heard, but you are no longer able to use a mobile phone while driving, unless you have a "hands free" adaptor.
I went to a Vodafone Shop and they wanted £50 for an earpiece and microphone for my mobile phone. I have found an alternative kit that is compatible with any mobile phone and one size fits all. I paid £0.10 each for buying in quantity and I am selling them for £1.99 including postage.
I have tried these out on Ericsson, Motorola, Siemens & Nokia handsets and they worked perfectly.
A photo is attached - take a look and let me know if you want one.

OK this is purely speculative, but would it be possible so that when you applied the brake, you engaged the axle with a generator so that instead of wasting the carsd energy in the heating of brake pads, you generated electricity which was stored for use at a later time?i dont know what generator technology is like or whether it could provide a good enough amount of resistance to even make any impact on slowing the car down but its just a thought.

Borat, yes that's done, and it's called "dynamic braking." But the "bag" thing would have to be done with combustion-only engines because they don't operate in reverse.

This kind of thing is done since years (decades?) in electrical trains.

                    "regenerative braking"
I think audi did a nice one quite a few years ago, it was front wheel drive but the rear wheel were powered by an electric motor that were recharged while braking.
