Hey Kv (your PM folder is full),

I have a little question that bothers me a little.
I want a subwoofer even though I don't have money to spend and it's very possible I don't actually need one.
The one I've put my eye on is the Wharfedale PowerCube 12A (sure looks like a sweet coffee table).

My current setup is a Yamaha HTR-5170 (AKA RX-V795a)
Whardefale Modus 16 (front) Modus 8 (rear) and modus center.

Would a / this subwoofer make a noticeble positive difference or am I being stupid and childish (more than the usual that is) wanting to spend a lot of monet which I don't have ?

If anyone else has a suggestion (as long as it's not "you're stupid and you don't deserve to marry such a sweet girl" / "take a long walk over a short pier" or anything with similar context ) I'll be happy to know.

I'm not too familiar with the current Wharfedale line (last looked at them about 15 years ago), but a good powered sub always helps. With the levels of bass on most DVD soundtracks, you'd notice the difference even if your current speakers are big and have 12" woofers in them.
