    Feeling down and lost

    Hi everyone

    My name is Ghydda and I'm an Anonymous Matroholic.

    I've been dry for going on 3 months now.
    My beloved Parhelia gave up on me and left (monitor output one died) and she filed for a divorce (RMA).

    The paper work just came through today and now it's official - our relationship is completely over (I get it credited).

    I took contact to an old high school sweetheart (TNT2U) for comfort and we have been seeing each other lately, but now I know it will never work out between us. We've simply grown to far apart.

    Down at my local matchmaking service (computer store) they say they haven't got anybody else matching my preferences in their database.
    The closest one they got is P750 but I don't know anything about her and her habits/strong points/weaknesses.

    Can anybody here say they've had first hand experience with her and would care to share their biased opinion before I go mad and do something I'll regret for the rest of my natural life.

    My house has two floors, build by the contractor Asus, you've probably heard of them.
    The specific house model is an A7M266-D covering XP1700 sq feet on each floor - nice and roomy but not off the scale luxurious by any means. Would she be comfortable in such an environment do you think?

    If you need a workstation card, get a Parhelia or consider 3dlabs as well (considering your two-storey house - I have 2-storey house myself).

    If you also occasionally game and you're also a Matrox fanboy, get a Parhelia.

    If gaming is your prime concern, consider R9600.

    If you don't game at all and don't need powerful 3D, P750 is better than Parhelia, since it has no banding and FAA16x supposedly (I haven't seen it) works better.

    Chieftec bigtower, all possible fans
    Antec Truecontrol 550W

    Tyan TigerMPX
    2x Barton 2500+ @2.26GHz (SK7's, Zalmans F1)
    512MB PC2100 ECC registered

    Parhelia, Hercules Digifire 7.1, Adaptec 2904, appropriate opticals and HDD.

      It's best that you two split up. After all, she had been two-timing on you with Dan Wood, maybe even Branco Matic too (it's like she was a 3-headed beast!). You know that she stopped putting out her best features like shading those 2 vertices like she does and you know she wouldn't let you displace her map anymore (DirectseX? NEIN!). Besides, that monthly fit of gyrating and giving you headaches (banding) couldn't have been good for your health.

      Only recently did she warm up to your friend Linus, I'll never understand why she hated him so much, for over a year!

      You should try and find a nice, laid back, redheaded girl.

        I can't get Parhelia back as she's left my choice of matchmaking service, all they can offer is P750 or entirely different species altogether.
        However I doubt I can adjust to any NV or ATi based partner. We're simply not speakingo-di-samo-lingidido.
        If all should come to worst I've even mentally prepared myself for settling for a Mill550. I'm that close to spinning off into space.

        I'll bet you're right, she most likely was twotiming on me with Dan, however I doubt it with Branco - he seems to be such a nice guy. Or maybe I'm just in denial here. Do you know any group I can join to help me with denial?
        I'll go for that redheaded thing of yours, I always were a sucker for redheads. Hopefully she's just what I need to get better. If only she would settle for me as well. That might prove to be the tricky part.
        It's not easy to find a loyal and faithful partner to fill my vacant slot, who also will work like a slave under my whip and ancle-chains.
        I've developed quite an excentricity over the last couple of years you know. No I-net at home will do that to a guy.



        Anybody else got some pointers?

          Why not try a new choice for matchmaking? I got mine straight from her home, and her mother seemed very happy to sell her to me. I suppose perhaps the Matrox store doesn't ship to Denmark, though.

            Welll KvHagedorn, you're absolutely right about changing matchmaking services. However, I can't a refund, only gear for the credited ex - and the moneypool where I usually do my cash fishing is all but completely dried up.
            So I'm pretty much tied up real good. Not that I don't like being tied up. Or down for that matter... I'll just shut up before I reveal more than I'd like to have shared under normal circumstances!

              I told my wife if she insists on another tatoo, that the ATI logo would look real nice.

                The P750 is just a slower Parhelia, if you don't 3D game much, it's a fine card. been using it in my main rig for a while now - and my Parhelia is in a draw.

                The P750 has all the bug fixes P needed, but it's gone from a double D cup down to a C cup.

                  You could cruise south to Germany or order from online shop there.

                  EU and all...

                  Gurm: IMO parhelia logo would make far better tatoo if from the aesthetical point of view.
