It's the religious marriage contract.
Written in Aramean, it specifies the duties of the husband to his wife and vice versa (mostly the husband's duties) and also includes a sum the husband is supposed to pay the bride if he decides to divorce her.
The sums are usually in tens of thousands and more. Most of the time (there were cases where it was) it's not legally binding. The reason for it was to make it hard for men to divorce their wives (I love saying that a wife is like a car, you need to switch to a new model every so many years
).
I signed for 360k NIS which makes around 80,000 USD.
No, I don't have that kind of money and here it's half the sum needed for a nice small apartment.

Err... It's actually the bride's mother giving her wine to drink (part of the ceremony). The picture is of the wine on it's way to her mouth (not cleavage) and no drop was spilled on her or her dress(a waiter took care of that earlier in the evening by spilling som soya sauce on her dress, no harm done )
