How far is Kitchener from Montreal?

I'm pretty desperate, I might just buy some coolant and drive over, I need this hunk of shiesser to work at least for another 6 months, or until it gets warmer.

Not sure, but I think its near Waterloo. So that's ~2 hr drive from Toronto.

First step is a proper diagnosis - have somebody look at it.
There could be other causes of a fouled oil cap.
Unfortunetly, sometimes you can't be 100% sure until you do an engine tear down as to the exact problem.

7 hours? That's a lot of driving, could cost me a fortune in gas and coolant, may not be worth it and my car might not make it, dammit. I think I'll pass for now, but if I get really desperate than I'll let you know. Thanks for the offer though, much apreciated.

About the milky stuff on the oil cap, thats an oil/water mix, if you pull the dipstick and see that in your oil, do not drive anywhere as you oil is basicaly fecked and will not lubricate your engine,

Water/coolant in the oil is defintely a sign of a blown head gasket...

If you need to drive somewhere to have it fixed, it mihght be an idea to change your oil,(IF it is milky coloured)

I don't know, could be a hour could be a month.

But if it only happens slowly you migh be able to get away with it for a while if you keep an eye on whats happeing with the oil, and change it as soon as it gets milky....but either way your car has some bad problems, and fixing now will save you $$ in the long run.

This is true. Whenever I blow a gasket, I notice a milky coloured liquid mixed with my oil.

if it's burning a litre every 200 k, I don't expect it would last too long.
If it's making it's way into the oil the first thing that would go would be the crank and rod bearings.
symptoms would be knocking, loss of oil pressure, and or overheating.
at this point a new engine might be in order.

I think I may have found the problem. I move a clip from a hose and there's no rubber left, could still be leaking from there, checked opil and no milky stuff. Plus my anti have ice chunks in it, it's THAT cold! (seriously)

So, new hose, cheap, can do it myself, but still need to check things out.

wont hurt to try the crack sealer - cost you about 20 bucks.
it probably has a 50/50 chance of working depending on where exactly the problem is.
dunno if Canadian Tire carries it, I got mine from a performance shop - saved me from replacing the heads on my old Mark VII.
