So sad. I (like so many) grew up watching Bob Keeshan every morning.

I watched him every morning when I was little. He made a real and lasting contribution to this world. So did Fred Rogers. Nothing is more important than providing a positive role model to children by entertaining them in an educational way. Innocence is not goodness.. it is a neutral state. You can either fill children's innocence with decency and goodness or with crap and evil. Too bad there aren't many shows like Mister Rogers and Captain Kangaroo anymore. Barney and Teletubbies don't cut it. Neither do cartoons. These aren't real people.. kids don't grow up to be big purple dinosaurs. They need real, caring people as role models. Those guys will be missed more than any of us will ever really appreciate.

Give me Captain Kangaroo, Fred Rogers, Mr. Wizard, Soupy Sales etc. anytime vs. todays garbage. Todays childrens programming, in a word, sucks.
