What is Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia?
Defined as "a persistent, abnormal, and irrational fear of long words", each year, this surprisingly common phobia causes countless people needless distress.

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia. As a confirmed sesquipedalian, I believe that this circumlocution is so contrived as to be meaningless, notwithstanding its obfuscated radical etymology.
OTOH, the original word in this thread is crystal clear in its roots:
paraskevi is the exact Greek word for Friday
dekatria is 13
phobia is, well, phobia or fear
and is therefore 100% Greek.
On this island, there is no paraskevidekatriaphobia but there is tritidekatriaphobia, as Tuesday the 13th is considered unlucky according to the local superstitions.Brian (the devil incarnate)

Well it's been a slightly unusual, but by no means bad, day in the life of Ribbit.
I did spend a few minutes around someone who was using a machete, though. After she warned me not to get too close, I couldn't help but think about how today was Friday the 13th, and tomorrow was Valentine's Day....Blah blah blah nick blah blah confusion, blah blah blah blah frog.
