So an Amiga is a computer or an an OS like Linux?
Oh, I get it... I looked it up on the web and it's just a souped up C=64, cool!Last edited by Jon P. Inghram; 6 March 2004, 17:37.

No, it isn't. It's a multitasking multimedia machine, which has nothing to do with the C64. Way ahead of the PC at the time. Commodore bought the Amiga from Amiga, Inc.

Amiga was a compnay that made computers. They were called Amiga 500, 2000, 3000, etc . . . .Last edited by High_Jumbllama; 6 March 2004, 21:22.

What's the point of sports cars or DSLRs for ordinary people? Why do people still use mechanical watches?

I didn't say what's the point of using a "classic" Amiga, I just don't think the AmigaOne (the "new" hardware) has much chance to survive in the current market today.
DSLR's don't really have a point for "ordinary" people, sports cars can be fun to drive, and mechanical watches either appeal to people who have more money than brains ("Look at me, I've got a ROLEX!") or to people who like things that are old fashioned but still work perfectly fine (which would apply to people who still use normal Amiga's.)
Still, I do hope it pans out.

I haven't touched them since my Amiga 500 about 6 years ago. Not fair messing with me. Brain slow today. Me go sleep now.Last edited by High_Jumbllama; 7 March 2004, 08:40.

Amiga Inc. sells AmigaOS... any bets on how long the new owners keep it before passing the curse along or going belly up?
