    Some retail stores do that over here, if you buy from them they'll be happy to set things up for you for free. If you want help for something you did not buy there, you pay for it.

    Don't know anything about how things are in Texas, but if you guys get this more often, you might perhaps consider not only selling stuff but also advertise expertise help against a fee.

    Course, the fact that she calls on you for free help like that sucks big time. I liked the Gosh we could've saved idea a lot for that one.

      Chuck, contact the base and file a complaint. All BX/PX's are suppose to be competitive to local rates (if not TDY or stationed from afar (for a limited time frame)... will need to checkout this policy, which they can supply) and to the fact they were asking you for help for free.

      To me it sounds as if they just moved here from some far off land and got a sweet deal @ the PX... but asking you for free help is their bad. It's rare, but sometimes those involved can have their chain jerked by their superiors for pulling such crap.
