A guy I work with just got a new Honda Odyssey. Seats 7, and has ELEVEN cup holders. WHY??!?! Isn't one per passenger enough?
Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard coated bastards with bastard filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive, bubble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine. -- Dr. Perry Cox

Tell me about it. I got a 03 Honda Accord, and it has 8 cup holders available for 4 people. 2 in the front center console, two in the back flip down arm rest, and one in each door (Theres a place that can hold cans and bottles in each door pocket). Now, when you put 5 in the car, the rear seat armrest isn't available.

Also, the armrest also has a flip down pass-through to the trunk, so the people in the back seat can have access to a well placed cooler to get more drinks...

11 might be enough. But I often have both cup holders full in the front of my car. One with water, and one with whatever I want to drink (drink water if you're thirsty. Drink soda if you want to drink soda, but not to quench thirst).
