Yeah, so I spent the last 2 days at a speed shop with a guy installing my new forged motor in my car. You may recall a previous thread where I posted pics of the rods and pistons.

Well, I'm still driving it like a sissy (I have 110 miles on it now), but with the old engine I had a supposed 221hp, I may have up to 230 due to the better turbo mani in this one and new seals, etc. I still have to break this baby in. Gonna change the oil again tonight.
The motor didn't really get me any more HP, but it's strength will just allow me to run more boost, thus making more HP. But I have to break her in first. 300hp should be attainable with this badboy in its current state. Not bad for 2800lbs.
az - well, what part do you want to know the cost on?
Jon - i ran mobil 1 for the first 120 miles, and just switched over to dino juice (valvoline) for at least a few hundred more. Then it's back to Mobil 1 for good.
az - no tranny, just the engine. The parts alone cost over $2K, which really isn't bad for custom pistons, Pauter rods, a "new" block with 440 miles on it, belts, gaskets, etc etc. Then there was labor, of course.
Guchi - my blow off valve is recirculated (so that I'm not venting metered air, which would cause a rich condition) behind the MAF there. The valve itself is near the battery in that picture (it's just an HKS, nothing fancy), and you can see that the hose recirculates it behind the MAF.
As for my boost controller, I'm using a JoeP MBC. However, you can't see it in the picture.
