DukeP, you should have let it slide for 24 hours after which I'd have offered a new one........

I wonder if this song is still PC? I think at the time no one would have thought anything of it,m but nowadays??
Just a kid and just at school.
Back home they'd call me dirty.
His little hand is on my heart.
He's got me where it hurts me.
Knock, knock. Who's there in this baby?
You know how to work me.

None of you knows this???? C'mon!
Add this to it then (there is something in between though):
Words of caress on their lips
      That speak of adult love
I want to smack - but I hold back
      I only want to touch
Bonus point for who gets this one.

Well - I now know what the song is, but I had to look it up.

(I'll let someone else answer, since I cheated to find out

        That's a tough one.

OK, it was The Infant Kiss - Kate Bush...

I find it strange that "You Can Be Who?" by Crass was guessed in a jiffy, yet this one had you all come up with nothing. Bunch o' Barbarians!

          Something more recent
That girl has got no srcrupules
Not a wrinkle on her face
You will not believe the plot she conceived
She they let her take my place
I really love this song. It's amazing how the tables are turned here, and I like it when I actually think I know what a song is about, as in this case.

"You can be who" was only coincidence, most of those other songs I dont know, since its just not my kind of music

OK, that quote was from: The Barry Williams Show - Peter Gabriel.

As my quotes seem to hard for most of you, as of now, anyone can jump in after 24 hours of no guess right.

This is the car at the edge of the road,
There's nothing disturbed, all the windows are closed,
I guess you were right, when we talked in the heat,
There's no room for the weak, no room for the weak

Day of the Lords - Joy Division, one of the greatest bands ever. In fact, John Peel only thought one band (don't remember which one right now) to be worthwhile, and Joy Division as a possible 2nd.

So throw off your coat, we'll butter some toast
                And put a coffee on:
We'll lie down on the bed, lay back our heads
                Smoke another cigarette

Tom Robinson - Listen to the radio
                  (that one was easy)
Here is a tough one... (I think):

                  I think last night
you were driving circles around me.

Well, the line I gave is the chorusline (sung 7 times), and there isn't that much other text. Still, here is some more from the same song:

Let him walk down your hallway
                      It's not this quiet
                      Slide down your receiver
                      Sprint across the wire
                      Follow my number
                      Slide into my hand

It's the blaze across my nightgown
                      It's the phone's ring

                      I think last night
You were driving circles around me

                        Well, no one guessed it....
The quote came from 'Your ghost' by Kristin Hersh...

I believe Umfriend is not here in the weekend, so I'll post a new one (ahum). I think it is easiear than my latter:
                        -
                        Nothing’s written in stone
                        Nobody lies here
                        Nobody cries here
                        Nobody dies alone
                        Nobody dies alone

                        Cry cry cry

                        Into the wind’s eyes

                        Cry cry cry

Hanging on a thread, grey turns red

OK, I don't know how hard this one is:

                              I read bad poetry
                              Into your machine

                              Just to hear your voice
                              You always listen carefully
                              To awkwards rhymes
                              You always say your name
                              Like I wouldn't know it's you
                              At your most beautiful

Well, the game seems to have stopped... Let's just try a new one (and this one is easy).
(az: where did your quote come from?)

                                -
Now did you read the news today
They say the danger’s gone away
But I can see the fire’s still alight
                                There burning into the night.

                                There’s too many men
                                Too many people
                                Making too many problems
And not much love to go round
                                -
