Oops, May bad (cut 'n paste error), as you can see, the 'conclusion' was left.

btw, not HK. nice enough place to visit, food is really good. But I have enough trouble with a reduced chinese character set.

Reduced? I have trouble with the full, and am virtually blind to the reduced set. Makes a lot of people wonder how I managed to obtain most of my skills since they're all in Chinese...

Different set J1NG, Japan uses a the Sino branch that was first introduced about 800AD from memory. there are currently 1945 (ish) recognized kanji. plus another few hundred that may be used in propper names.

Full set of Chinese characters would kill me

                      No probs Sasq

Did all the paperwork for my mortgage tonight - seems that in the short term at least it's going to cost less per month than I thought... (i.e. less than £1k pcm (!)). So one more step down... tomorrow I just have to make sure that the current owner has served notice to the current tennants as that will be thing that holds things up (not that I need to be in any particular rush).

??? I thought they drove on the right side of the road in Canuckland. They did when I visited Montreal in 1992 anyway.

I think Chrono is thinking of what side the steering wheel is on, not what side of the road you drive on.

Now you see, that is why I left London. My mortgage is <£400/m all in, on a 4 bed detatched house. And my wages are now far better than when I was down there. Wifey's wages have suffered though - it seems secretaries are expected to work for peanuts here. But we are all home around 5pm and get some time to spend with the kids (and each other)
