The ones I've been listening to not mentioed above:
RUSH (Canadian trio band) Live in Brazil. The drum solo is worth the price of the DVD alone.
Peter Gabriel Secret World tour or Growing up tour excellent surround DVD and his daughter has a nice set of.. uhm..pipes too

And my girls love to dance to the:
Corrs live in London - great music
    Riverdance

I second the Peter Gabriel recommendation. Even if you're not a fan, it's a very high quality recording.
Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. Bastard coated bastards with bastard filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive, bubble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine. -- Dr. Perry Cox

I saw the REM DVD the other day. That wasn't that bad...

What's so bad about Rattle and Hum?
I'd second the "Elvis - that's the way it is" recommendation. They really did wonders to the sound-quality of this old concert movie with the DVD.
There's a BeeGee live DVD "One Night Only" that comes with both, DD and DTS. Really fine, but of course only if you dig the BeeGee sound - and it has a very good performance with Celine Dion as special guest (Immortality) on it.
The DepecheMode "101" DVD for fans of this - although sound and image quality could be better, it's a great performance - better than their later ones.
The Queen "Live at Wembley" - again sound and image quality could be a bit better, but the bands performance is very OK.
But we named the *dog* Indiana...

I was at my friends place on Monday and he had a DVD by Roy Orbison. It was an old black and white session but it had really great sound. It also had a very young Bruce "the Boss" springsteen, Bonnie Raite and a few other well known singers that I can't remember or the name of the DVD.

That was 'Black and White Night'.
Not all that old. He did that show shortly before his death.
They play it on PBS all the time during pledge drives around here.
It is a great show, with guests Jackson Browne, Elvis Costello, T-Bone Burnett, J.D. Souther, Jennifer Warnes, kd lang, Bonnie Raitt, Bruce Springsteen and Tom Waits.

I just bought tickets to see Jewel at the local winery here in my hometown. It seats 1734 people. I bought the dinner with the concert. The way it works is, I have dinner reservations at 5:30pm. I eat, drink and relax for almost 3 hours. The concert then starts at 8:15pm where I am escorted to my seat. I have 5th row to the right of the stage. I'm really looking forward to it!

                  Check it out! http://www.wentevineyards.com/concert.shtml

BTW, I am going to try and record the concert. Any tips? I am using my iriver ihp-120 multicodec music player. I can record to WAV or MP3 format(64k-384k, my choice). I need to test it out before trying. I think I am limited to 1 hour with WAV format. I'll have to check. I would gladly pass this out to other MURCers if interested.
