  • Should they have shown the Diana pictures?

Today it is reported that last night CBS showed pictures of Diana and Dodi as they died in that horriffic crash in Paris.

I don't think they would ever be shown here, and I can't beleive that people were sick enough to show them there.

I can't find it any more worse than showing dead iraqi children or other dead people.

Go and start your own thread - I don't want this one sending to Temp thank you very much.

And PS your link is tenuous. The pictures might have been graphic (I don't know) but that is not the point.

PPS there's a 'New Thread' button up near the top-right of the screen

Sorry, but it was a related topic. I don't want to start a new thread with this issue. I hate to talk about it.

                Thanks Brian.

Any news from that side of the pond on how it was received over there anyone?

At this point the office does not seem a'buzz with talk of Diana...
So far I can't find anyone who even heard about it.
We didn't know it was going to be on, and wouldn't have watched if if we had known.

I think people should just stop obsessing over Princess Died. It's pretty freak'n ridiculous.

Didn't see it myself, but I suppose it comes down to what was the actual context the were shown in. Was it ment to be sensational? Informative/documentary? Necessary/gratuitous?

I do have to agree many people are still overly obsessed with the death of a normal, all be it famous, mortal under tragic circumstances.

News reports and the like are simply getting more and more graphic all the time. I think it's rather morbid the thought of showing anybody's famous or otherwise dead body regardless of how graphic it is.

I didn't know about it, and neither had my co-workers. I do think it's sick and wrong, but that applies to 98% of all TV shows these days.

I saw the pictures later on some news site and they were completely unnecessary. They served no purpose that a still photograph could have served from years before.
