        I thought they'd say "double-u three"

        I usually just omit it, and if I don't I usually omit the "punkt" (dot), also omit the dot before the TLD. I only speak it the long way if I'm talking to someone who doesn't even have a computer.

            I just say "Dubya Dubya Dubya" and for years have argued why do they always feel the need to say dubya dubya dubya to every bloody url on TV... hello clueless people why not just say

              and then there's the strange grouping that e.g. the bbc use:

              I say bbc dotco dotuk
              BBC say bbcdot codot uk (which just seems wrong to me)

                            A couple of years ago, there were people that thought the 'www' was obligatory. Our website didn't have this (back in 93!), and some people didn't even try: "it needs www, this won't work!"

                                I usually leave off the www, but it seems whenever I read out a site for someone it always requires the www or it won't be resolved
