  • Got to hand it to you Brits.

You produce some of the funniest shows on the planet.
Just saw Combat Sheep on BBC Canada. Laughed my froggin head off - well produced and extremely imaginative.
180 degree departure to any sit-com produced south of the 49th parallel.

    edited to include image.

Haven't seen that one, but some of the older BBC comedies/sitcoms/series are superlative. Just to name a few at random:

    Only Fools and Horses
    To the Manor Born
Last of the Summer Wine (one of my favourites)
    Blackadder (more variable in quality)
Steptoe and Son (very old, but excellent)
    + 50 etc

OTOH, the BBC soaps are pathetic:
    EastEnders
    Doctors
    etc.

I absolutely loved the relatively recent BBC comedy series "Coupling". It was awesome!

I still remember the episode when one of the boys is trying to score with an Israeli girl without the aid of an interpreter (hilarious funny scene).

That episode seems to stick out in my mind as well for some reason.

Lets not forget Monty Pythons flying Circus

BBC comedy is going downhill. One of the reasons why they keep showing so much of the old stuff over and over again.

Watch a few episodes of 'friends' and you may change your mind.

The Friends have broken up -- and with reason!
