That's horrible, people could have died and you think it's FUNNY?!? TEMP FORUM NOW PLEASE!

Seriously, that's both cool and scary , I wonder how the people in both the trawler and the sub noticed. Oh, does anyone else always think "covert espionage ship" when they hear the word trawler?Last edited by Jon P. Inghram; 11 May 2004, 01:14.

This happens quite often but doesn't make the headlines. If the sub is moving, the nets usually torn to pieces and the fisherman is left scratching his head, with no redress. If the sub is not or hardly moving, this kind of thing happens.
The funniest one is where a guy brought up a lost unmanned sub http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/not_in_we...ts/1349002.stmBrian (the devil incarnate)

Happens all the time.
Use to be that the russian subs just pulled the fishing vessel under. A lot of fishers used to carry huge axes, to cut the trawl loose. Dont know if that would actually help, but hey..
Good thing the world beneath the waves have at last grown more tranquiel.
Btw, If they didnt coat those subs with rubber, they wouldnt reflect on the sonar like a big school of fish. Serves them right.
