  • When are the boys from Intel coming out to the Bay Area again?

Its time to have another Bay Area luncheon (or elbow tipping) with ALBPM and Oboy. When are you guys coming out again? Don't make us do it without you. Come on Dave and Beezer ... lets put on the pressure.

Sorry guys, doesn't look like I'll be sent out there any time in the near future.

Lately, I've been working with the Assembly Sites a lot. I hope to get sent to Costa Rica. One of the Managers down there owes me numerous Beers for solving an issue they had.

Sorry to hear that. I've never been to Costa Rica. Does Intel need a special consultant?.

How about Oboy? Dave, Beezer, et.al. ... how about towards the end of the month and before the big July 4th weekend? Maybe we can show off our new X800 cards.

I'm down. The last weekend in June I am out of town though. Actually, June is a bad month for me. Anytime after the July 4th weekend is good for me.

Sounds good to me. A bar or a restaurant or both? To bad Paul isn't coming out so we could go to my Scotch pouring bar.

Who all are the Scotch drinkers in the group? The best time to go is during the day but not Monday or Tuesday; that's when my single malts' mentor works (bartender in Los Gatos).

Speaking of single malts ... I picked up a few bottles as gifts recently and I grabbed a Macallan Cask Strength (115.6 proof) yesterday. I placed all my single malts bottles (just those containing scotch) onto the cutting block island since I ran out of space in the liquor cabinet. I now have a nice display of 12 single malts, including a 25 y.o. Macallan. The 25 y.o. is the good traditional stuff (pre-Suntory/Highland takeover) and is housed in an old leather strapped rustic wood box, which is no longer available. These old boxes were hand-made by an elderly gentlemen down the road from the distillery. The new Macallan puts out a more expensive (like all of them) 25 y.o. in a mass produced painted wooden box. Suntory/Highland sold the distillery to Glenmorangie and The Macallan is supposedly back (gotta do some tasting of the new stuff) but it will never be like it was before the takeover by Suntory/Highland when they fired the head noser and many others.

Sounds like your collection is getting to big and you need someone(me) to come over and help reduce inventory

I just finished my 12yr old Glenmorangie. I've been eye-balling Lagavulin for a few months now. I may have to go buy it.
