      Doesn't Gmail scan through your email, and attach adds based on key words it finds? (heard this through the grape vine.)

          If what I am using is free, I can't really complain about that. I like some of the other Yahoo services but would not get worked up if they changed but changing terms of the specific thing paid for is unacceptable.

            Yes they do have a pop access, you just have to subscribe to a service that sends news once a week. I've been using that for years and they don't bother you much...

              It depends where you are. In the US, you have to pay $ for POP access to Yahoo.

                We get the Yahoo! 2GB storage/100MB mailboxes (11 of 'em) gratis with our SBC DSL, which can be had as cheap as $26.95 USD (for 1500 kbps. 3000 kbps is $36.95). Also lots of other premiums.

                We changed over because;

                1. Comcast keeps upping their price and are now close to $50/mo counting the SurfBoard modem rental

                2. their reliability was starting to suck.

                SBC's SpeedStream 5100 modem was a freebie and so far the service is pretty good.

                  hey, that's 250 WHEEL horsepower.

                  Which consumed a lot of time, research, and money.

                  The 100MB Yahoo account was free.
