Overall another poor performace with a very flattering score line.
Did nothing for 20 -25 mins scored with our first attack. Struggled 2nd half and only stretched the lead after Vassell came on for Owen around 80 minutes.

Switzerland deserved one goal at least and must be wondering how they lost.

Two good goals from Rooney and a rare bit of good play from England set up gerrard for the 3rd.

Still it's the result that counts. A result against the Croatia will do it.

I had to be at a meeting - was getting text updates. People were getting very excited every time my phone started vibrating. Sounds like that was better than watching

Croatia - England will be interesting now. Winner will advance to the next round. If Swiss wins (unlikely but still), and England draws with Croatia, England will be out and France as well! So England has to win. Very interesting group! Thanks Croatia.

Is it just me or is Rooney a bit fat? He looks like if he was an irish boxer! Reminds me of Cascoigne.

Really now Paddy, a cut inside followed by a hard shot that beat the goalkeeper and hit the post is not a good goal? The fact that it rebounded from the post onto the goalkeeper's occiput then into the goal is immaterial
