I grew up just north of Dayton.... still never liked "Cincinnati-style” aka Skyline Chili. They do have it right when saying "can only be described as a “cult-like” popularity". Always thought it was the petrochemical plants down that way affecting their judgement and now you too Oz

When they opened a store in Indy just down the road there were hords of people buying it, claiming it was oh sooo good... which doesn't really suprise me, with Indy being the obesity capitol of the US. These were also the same people who rated many greasy resturants the best around and yet they went belly up in short order.

I like Chili with beans and Texas style chili without, abit of a chili conniossuer growing up on chili of many flavors. Also the holder of our family's blue ribbon chili recipes and will continue making those, while still sampling the competition.

Which reminds me... I've got some homegrown jalapeno peppers I picked earlier today and Chili peppers last week drying on the shelf just wait'n to be brewed up
