Best performace by England so far by a mile. Went a goal down early which meant they had to play. Dominated the first half from that point deserving the 2 - 1 lead at half time via goals from Scholes at last and Rooney once more. Rooney's goal a real pile driver that would have gone through goal keepers hands anyway if he was quicker.

2nd Half sat back a bit but again Wayne Rooneys vision set himself up via a one two and the the third goal was never in doubt.

More crap defending for Croatia's 2nd but Lampard decided he had to do something to justify his presance and scored the 4th. We tried to give them a third but time ran out thankfully.

Tips for our manager swap Gerrard and Scholes and drop James as his flapping on the goal line shows no confidence at all.

Czech - England semi-final, last game for England this EURO. Portugal will be easily trampled over.

Dunno if we get rid of the awful James and swap Gerrard and Scholes we'd be a lot stronger overall. Our defense would then be better than the Czechs.

Any one step at a time. At least this time we willbother to tackle the over rated Figo rathe than just stand there watching him.

Players yet to perform for us are Owen and Beckham and Lampard. Lampard is due a good game as are the other two. Lampard poor performaces have been masked by his goal scoring.
Beckham I think has decided he wants to play centre of the pitch hence the zero effort from him. Send Posh away bollock him and he may play again.

Figo was not overrated in 2000, now maybe he is a bit. I would worry more about Cristiano Ronaldo at this point. Scolari seems reluctanct to start him for some reason. James made several good saves. What flapping?

Figo was overated in 2000.

Watch James he doesn't command the box jumps and flaps around on the line but generally in the wrong direction. Doesn't come for 99% of the crosses and when he does he drops it. For free kicks he doesn't know where to put the wall. He's always been a poor keeper dunno how he ever got selected.

England hasn't got a better goallie at the moment (or at least I can't name a better one). Why do you think that David Seaman played until the age of 41 (or is he already 42 years old?) for the national team.

The Pit, why do you think that Owen isn't that good this EuroCup, I find him pretty good until now.

Well the reserve ones in the England team are better. England also have a history of being narrow sighted in the search for alternate players. One of the reasons players have to move from say Southampton to Man utd to get noticed.

Funny you're the only one who hasn't notice Owens poor displays. I let him off in the first game as the service was lacking but he looked letharic in the 2nd game which made me wonder if he was injured. Certainly looked better yesterday hopefully he'll on form for Thursday.

Yes I would say Owen is not doing as well at in the WC in 1998 or the EC in 2000 right now, but don't jump to the conclusion and say he is crap right away. He isn't the menace anymore he was before (I think you can blame the defensive playing style of Liverpool for that), but he still does a lot of work. Just my 2 cents. Bye the way I only saw the first game of England and the game against Croatia yesterday.
