  • IQ Test for English car drivers...

I think you might like this from Sunday's Telegraph

Sir, I have received an e-mail that purports to come from the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency saying: "In order to assist other motorists in identifying potentially dangerous drivers, it is now compulsory for anyone with a lower than average IQ and driving ability to display a warning flag.
The flag, comprising a red cross on a white background, must be attached to at least one door of the vehicle. For drivers of exceptionally low ability, additional flags are required."
    FT.

Better still, the EU should promulgate a Directive stating that persons with an IQ of less than nn should have their driving licence rescinded. The roads would be a lot safer throughout Europe.

A further effect would be to swell the ranks of the UK Independence Party and equivalents elsewhere, as most of the current members will fall into this category, including some of the figureheads.

This theory holds no water. What about Einstein on the beach? Not a particularly low IQ there, but couldn't pilot a boat worth a damn.

Perhaps I should point out (for non-UK residents) that during the current Euro 2004 tournament, there is a proliferation of cross-of-Saint-George car-flags. Some people feel one is enough, others feel the need for one on each window.

They annoy the hell out of me.

I don't mind one, but I have seen so many fall of on the motorway...
The Welsh support two teams when it comes to rugby. Wales of course, and anyone else playing England

Waitin for TP to chime in about exceptional bicyclists requirements

Here in the states years ago (mid to late seventies) many a mom got on the safety bandwagon of fiberglass poll with a red flag mounted on their childs bicycle... if MOTHER forced you to have one were sure to be mocked by your peers as a panzy

The St. George cross flags are not that dissimilar to any local area here in the US rooting for their favorite sports team... some with one, but many with more

Thought you were talking about Red Cross flags to show they were in need of medical attention

I know those flags, they poke in the eyes of adults. Exaclty the right height and swinging like hell. Bloody dangerous IMO.
