anything other than rubber will break after vigorous use - especially the cheap plastic blow-ups. and make sure you don't over-inflate.

He's probably using some expensive commercial program, they convert the image from a bitmap to a structured image , scale that up, and then render back. I think.

nope, DFusion just uses some other filtering methods in its resizer and there are some specialized plugins available to reduce compression artifacts that MPEG and JPEG could cause.
