  • Need expedition support

I was looking on Amazon.com for a camcorder to buy, and as usual I've noticed that things cost half there.
Now problem is that, as usual, things that cost half on Amazon.com can be expedited only in the U.S...

So, anybody willing to help me?
Most of the items on Amazon have free shipping if within the U.S., so I'll have only one shipping to pay

And keep in mind that the proprietary chargers in the US would be 115V models.

And warranty repair might be hard to come by, most european service centers refuse to repair grey imports.

            I'm really confused...

I can buy in the U.S. a camcorder for more less than half the price that it costs here...I know that I'll have problems with warranty, but...

I mean, I can buy a good Sharp one in the U.S. at same price that I can buy, here in Europe, a fake Mustek that has no optical zoom, no minidv...nothing at all!!!

            Bah...

Uh, and on Amazon.de there is not that much difference.

Better, there is no such difference to justify buying there...

might I add that an ex-flatmate thought the same about the price differences and bought RAM from the US.

Not only did he have to wait quite a bit before the RAM got through the customs and postal services, he also had to pay import fees and VAT which totalled to making it more expensive than buying it locally.
Now he has paid too much for the RAM, and will have to send it to the US when he has a warranty problem with it.
