  • A hint? This is located approximately halfway between two of the above guesses, which were not too far off.

          • Nope, not Norway.

It may be considered to have been part of Norway at some point in the past, though.

            • My goodness that was a quick reply. Was going to suggest Aftenposten... http://www.evensens.net/sons/1005newsletter/cliff.jpg.

OK. Where used to be norway... Faroe Islands? This looks fairly close.

                    • Aah another of the places I have lived that I have missed here; Leicester, Cyprus...

ok. For it to be colder than Iceland, which I think you implied, then it would need to be North Scotland or maybe even some of the Islands. I am going to go for the Western Isles (Outer Hebrides) because it would have been very easy meat for the Vikings and they have coasts like this.

2nd guess is Shetland, looks a bit similar to this.

I find this very unfair, it makes me want to go walking in the hills next to the sea rather than stick here and work my butt off for these Microsoft exams :/

                      • Could it be the Old Man at Camusteel in the Torridon sandstone area?

                        • Not the Hebrides or Shetlands.

Not the Old Man at Camusteel.. much more famous and photographed. If you get it, there will be more than 12 pages of photos on Google.
