That looks like a shipyard in the background and far too cold for Florida. I'm guessing northern Europe or Scandinavia somewhere.“Inside every sane person there’s a madman struggling to get outâ€

Thanks Brian. That ferry building was actually easy to find once one got past all the references to the other predominate ferry building, in San Francisco.
Where the heck is this?Attached Files

Hehe, there were quite a lot of clues in the picture
OK, where's this and what is it famous for?
edit: I have maybe been a bit misleading. It's not this building in itself which is famous, but the village in which it is located. Clue: the picture shows a library.Attached FilesLast edited by jms; 1 November 2008, 00:25.

OK, tricky one. The pseudo-Gothic crenellated architecture with corbelled turret and stonework quoins smacks of a late 17th/early 18th c folly, especially on a hill. The scenery is strongly reminiscent of Scotland. The almost tundra-like vegetation suggests a high latitude, but it is obviously not in the rugged part of the Highlands. The well-wrapped geezer is in front of a glen and I suggest it could be Strathspey, noted for its whisky, with many brands. The main village is Grantown, so I'll offer this as my first guess, which is probably totally wrong and misguided!!!Brian (the devil incarnate)
