                    • Yes, Novdid and KvH got it. It is the Street called Straight, Damascus, as mentioned in the Christian Bible, Acts of the Apostles ch 9. St. Paul was reputedly baptised in a house on this street by Anaias after his being struck blind on the road to Damascus. The traditional place is now a minute mosque, converted from what was a private house.

                          • Esfahan is correct. It's the Nakhshe Jahan, the square is actually a polo field, the iranians invented the game! You can see where the shah enjoyed his games to the left.

                            Tehran was a good guess but it's not old enough to have such old and beautifull buildings that you can see in the pic.
