      • Looks like the monument directly on the equator in Ecuador. Don't know the name though, or if it is in some city...

            • Alright, here's one that should be pretty easy, so I'm going to ask the winning guesser to also tell us all about this.. what is it, why was it built, and when was it built?

                • At least it's easy to see that it's Europe...may be Germany judging by architecture...meh, I give up, I suck at this game!

                    Yeah - it's a building.

                    • Völkerschlachtdenkmal, Leipzig
Built in memorial to the Battle of Nations for 100th anniversary of it (unveiled then...construction took some time...)

                      • I had tried to see what the figures were at the top of the monument and the scale. Both can be seen better at http://sun1.izbi.uni-leipzig.de/dils...erschlacht.JPG

Yep! Of course, being built to commemorate this defeat of Napoleon on its 100th anniversary is what this building has in common with the Jahrhunderhalle, which you posted earlier.. your turn.
