    • Yep, Gilcrest and the people that stayed out there ( this was a mild storm after all - only 120 mph gusts) were very lucky. The storm surge was extremely unusually large for such a weak storm.

                          • That basalt outcrop in the form of a roche moutonnée narrows it down a little. The outstanding place for basalt formation is Staffa, but I don't believe it is there. My next best guess might be one of Cuillin mountains on Skye?????
