My mom just called and told me that my aunt-cousin's daughter (I think I have a three dimensional family tree ) had just called her to get my phone number because their daughter apparently put Kazaa on their new Compaq and, whata know... it's running really, really bad now.
Thankfully my mom told her to try use a restore disk (hopefully one that formats and reinstalls everything) and if they couldn't get it to fix things, to call Compaq first since they are very likely used to such problems.
Does anyone know if there are any books or websites that can introduce computer newbies to the messy world of the internet and computers, preferably with enough information to scare them into the realization that they should either get rid of the thing or learn enough about it to be able use it safely?
