      LOL.. not necessarily.

That just kinda debunks an amusing thought I had once, watching Dragnet or somesuch American cop show: What if this were set in Japan?

Friday: Just the facts, ma'am.. now what did he look like?

Victim: About medium height.. black hair, brown eyes, Asian..

        Hey Lizzie once again thanks!!!
Can I ask you for a HUGE favour???

I take martial arts (Aikido), my sensei is from Japan and so are a few students, would it be possible if you can upload th full size pics to a web server or something so I can download and show my sensei your wonderful pics? I wouldn't mind printing a few of those pics and frame them in my room that's of course with your approval

        Thanks in advance,
        Elie

Coolness There are some great pics there. I like to think that I'm a decent photographer, but my pictures come out bad half the time

From what I've noticed, that seems to be the case here too as far as Asians go.

The pic that caught my eye the most was the butterfly on that wicked pink flower, simply beautiful.

I like the gargoyle face too, wow!

I would absolutely LOVE to see bigger versions, damn Jam is right, you gots quite the talent, your pics are AWESOME!!!

(now that I can actually take the time and not rush through them like when I'm at work)
            Titanium is the new bling!

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

I will probably go there sooner or later. It's sadly a matter of budget.

                      Mostly seconded here.

Hey Elie, are you planning to go to the world championships next year? I'm hoping to go and compete, it's just a matter of whether I can put the money together in time (jobless at the moment).

Hey I just thought - if a lot of people are interested in the full-size pics (and Lizzie is happy to let us have them), perhaps we can put a torrent together.

Actually next year is the 50th annaversary of Aikido and wouldn't mind going to Japan with my Sensei to check it out

There is no competition in Aikido.

                            Cheers,

Sorry to hijack the thread, if this continues we'll start a new one...

Edit: Perhaps Rock's martial arts thread is a better place for this

I didn't know it was the 50th anniversary, I guess if you're an aikidoka who wants to visit Japan, next year's the time to do it

As for competition, do you not do embu or randori? What style of aikido do you practise? (I do Shodokan, which is a branch of Tomiki)
