    After reading the script for the first time Black was quoted as saying;

    "I just read the script for the first time. It's so rad. And it's top secret. I can't tell you much, but I can tell you this; King Kong is going to be scary as hell, dude. He's not gonna be sweet and cuddly. It's not gonna be the cute kind of movie. He's a f***ing carnivore, as in, eats flesh!"

    I'm sure Jane Goodall won't like that characterization

      It's Jacksons pet project. He's wanted to remake King Kong since he was 13 years old.

      Blacks part is that of an over-the-top promoter/director type....similar to the same role in the original film. Seems consistant and he's been in dramas before (Dead Man Walking etc.). Not to mention that many comedians are also very good dramatic actors.

          Go see Ray if you havn't. I generally HATE Jamie Fox movies but Ray was unbelievable.

            Jamie Fox was amazing in Collateral as well. Outperformed Tom Cruise by a huge margin. I wasn't a huge fan of his comedy either, but man, that guy can act.

              Looking forward to this one. Though I can't help but feel a bit uneasy seeing Kong battling a T-Rex, but then again, it is JUST conceptual art. Hopefully by scary mean scary and not gory (should make sense to anyone who's watched a "horror" movie lately).

                Maybe they should be the first flick to put feathers on their T-Rex, at least if it's supposed to be a young one;

                Explore National Geographic. A world leader in geography, cartography and exploration.

                According to Norell, the American Museum of Natural History paleontologist, large adult tyrannosaurs like T. rex probably lacked primitive feathers, an indication that the hairlike structures evolved to insulate warm-blooded dinosaurs rather than to enable flight.

                Small animals, Norell said, need insulation to keep warm. Bigger animals no longer need the insulation—a probable reason why animals such as elephants are bald.

                "It's doubtful a 40-foot-long [12-meter-long] tyrannosaur was covered with this stuff, if we are right that [the feathers] were needed for insulation. As the dinosaurs get bigger, they need to dump heat, not hold onto it," Norell said.

                Xu added that even large dinosaurs like T. rex may have had feathers when they were young. "They are not likely to be completely featherless animals for [their] whole life," he said."
                Now....just suppose for a minute that they're wrong and that T-Rex's had a coat of downy feathers throughout their lifetime.

                Can you even imagine how humiliating it would be to be run down and eaten by a giant chicken??
