I am thinking about buying one, but at £~3K for a professional gym grade one, I am looking into overseas options. In the US, they are $for£ which would save me ~40%....

Can you do this???? Is it possible to buy good abroad and have them shipped to the UK? Even if I had to pay VAT on arrival, it would still be substantially cheaper....

If all this is possible, can anyone recommend a reputable distributer?

    Cheers!

Most of these home exercise/gym things fall by the wayside very quickly, and a gym membership is far more cost effective! Most local authorities have gyms that are very reasonable, but you need to go at the quietist times. Join before January as every man and hid dog joins then.

We have a family membership of the local rec. centre - ~£32/month gives us unlimited swims, and about another £12/month gives access to the gym too. It pays for itself quite easily.

      I am aware of that

Unfortunatley out nearest (decent) gym charges >£100pcm!
I imagine that these depreciate very quickly, so i'd rather buy one from overseas, or a refurb'd/second hand model.

hehe whenever I visit my local tip there's always an exercise bike or aparatus of some sort standing there! I think they get abandoned long before they need a refurb
