  • Star Trek Rumours?

Anybody got any news or rumours about the next Star Trek movie?

Seems about time that something should be brewing.

I've been watching the new Battlestar Gallactica series and it's really good. Edgy even. Should hopefully give Enterprise a run for it's money.
    P.S. You've been Spanked!

    Hey schmosef,
How are you watching Battlestar Gallactica??
My wife has some relatives in England, and they have been telling me about the series. I've sometimes found it off of the newsgroups but I've only seen a couple and they're were out of order. I think they are up to nine episodes.

I haven't even gotten around to watching the last Star Trek movie, "Nemesis". I've recorded it but there's always something else I'd rather watch. I've been watching Star Trek since it was first aired and I used to always stand in line for the matinee showing the first day the movies were released. The movies have gotten so mediocre and are simply big screen versions of the TV shows (TV Star Trek has really improved in production quality). I'm still watching the new "Enterprise" series but I won't be standing in line for any new movies.

I'm going to check out the new "Earthsea" series which will start airing tonight on the SciFi channel. Has anyone seen some of this show yet?

I wish they had stayed with the later DS9's darker tone. A movie about that could have had a realistic chance of being non-bad. Nemesis was crap, though, and SPOILER!!

<div style="background-color: #000000; color: #000000;">you have to wonder whether Brent Spiner just wants to quit, being the director of a film that sees Data killed/memory erased.</div>

Uh? Brent was not directing... He was part writer. And they obviously had a sequel planned... (But we all saw that miles away...)

I always enjoyed the ongoing story style of DS9 versus previous STs. You gotta go down to the planet to blow up some bad guys once in a while though. A new enemy always raises the interest too.

It's interesting watching them tweak "Enterprise" to save it from cancellation. They sure made some abrupt changes this season.

Dunno the new season, but last time I watched, it was still mainly softcore pron.

I've just downloaded series1 episodes 1-9 of BG, but the first episode says 'previously on BG...'

What is it referring to? I dont want to spoil the story, so i'd rather watch them in the correct order....

it's probably the miniseries from 2003.

And yeah, a new Star Trek movie would be nice or a series perhaps, i think it's about time to go to the 25th century.

How about some clips from the old series, or what we liked to call "Battlestar Ponderosa"?
