    Kevin Spacey is one of my favourite actors. I'm sure he'll be great as Lex.
    P.S. You've been Spanked!

      I like Spacey as well, just having a hard time picturing him as Lex. Some of the other (potential) castings also seem a bit odd, but then again, I didn't really see Tobey being as good a Spider-man as he has been.

      At least Beyonce won't be playing Lois Lane...

        Kate Bosworth is too blonde and too fine to play Lois.

          Any idea of the timeline? Or if it will be based off the comics?

              I dunno. A cool and calculating Lex is quite possible, and Spacey could definitely do that. Something with the intelligence and cunning of Kaiser Soze and the calm delusion of his character in Seven.

                My feelings exactly. Spacey can be one evil SOB in the right role. Let's not forget his performance in Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.

                Timeline:

                Post original series, so one could call this Superman V. IT's NOT going back to origins since that and the Smallville timeframe are covered territory, though there could well be flashbacks.

                Also;

                Director:

                Bryan Singer

                Screenplay:

                Dan Harris (Imaginary Heroes, X2, Killing of Candice Klein)
                Michael Dougherty (X2)

                Producers:

                Gilbert Alder (Ghost Ship, Starsky & Hutch, Thir13en Ghosts, Bordello of Blood and a ton of Tales From The Crypt episodes)

                Jon Peters (Ali, Rain Man, Gorillas in the Mist, Batman Returns, Batman, Caddyshack, Innerspace, The Witches of Eastwick, The Color Purple, Clue, Flashdance, An American Weaewolf in London, The Eyes of Laura Mars, A Star is Born etc. etc. etc.)

                  Tom Welling should have been Superman.

                    They considered him, but two things worked against him;

                    1. age. He looks too young for the timeframe.

                    2. they didn't want it to be looked at as "The Smallville Movie".

                        Was thinking more appearance rather than character. I guess I've grown used to the modern look of Lex; even Hackman's Lex didn't quite seem right to me (in appearance).
