  • Flooding on the Ohio

3rd picture down.. is my brothers yard in the news article.

Curt Morrison and his partner, Adam Hall, who own a home near Waldoah Beach, fled their home Saturday after the waters began to rise.

They carried furniture and belongings onto the upper levels, then moved in with family in Southern Indiana. This is the second time the house has flooded since the couple purchased the three-story home 1½ years ago.

Morrison said living on the river makes flooding easier to bear.

"To see that sun setting on that river is just magical," Morrison said. "I think it's worth the price."

I haven't seen flooding like that since 1993 around my parts. The flooding was so bad that year that people were jet skiing across the bridge over the Missouri and Kansas rivers, when normally the river is 30-40 feet below the bridge

Glad to hear the flooding was gradual so your brother wasn't hurt.

We used to have flooding when I lived on MacDill AFB in Tampa, but nothing that bad.

Nice to hear someone have a positive outlook on the situation instead of trying to blame mother nature. As Jamm said, good thing he wasn't hurt.

I think living where your brother lives would be worth the price. Beautiful place!

It's actually a really nice house, but definately not worth a flooding.
