The body of an email I got this morning:

I have been knocked out of Point 3 times in the last 2 days. Can you please check & make sure what's happening.
I'm supposed to fix this? I do not even know what is wrong.

    Point... Powerpoint?
Is he perhaps referring to Powerpoint crashes? (or no access to a network drive on which his files reside?)

      Spam

You are required to query the sender (who I suppose is unknown to you) to confirm that you have a valid address for further spamming.

Hmm, good point: did the mail come from someone at work (who effectively sent it) or from someone unknown...

What was the person doing when it crashed or dropped, etc . . .

Otherwise, all I can do is clear out the TEMP directories which can get mucked up at times.

            P.S.
            Just venting.

              Thanks for clarifying...

They sometimes contact me with similar "clear" descriptions (on the phone):
"I get an errormessage. What happened?"
              "What did the message say?"
"I don't know, I clicked OK and it was gone. But what was it?"
"How should I know? Has some software crashed or stopped working?"
"Euhm... I don't think so... How can I find out?"

              Just venting.
              We all need that sometimes...

This is the same person that after several months still does not believe his wireless network is insecure. He knows enough to be dangerous.
