I hope those islands survive that 20 inch Tsunami...

20 inches can still cause a lot of flooding and material damage. Not to mention that just hearing they might get a Tsunami would be terrifying for sure.
Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice.

        Thankyou Helevita.

This country has had whole cities wiped out multiple times due to tsunami's. We get a tsunami warning with either expected size or none expected for every quake.

Comes from being one of the most earthquake prone places on the planet.

Even the smallest tsunami is nothing to roll your eyes about. Nevermind the fact, as Dan pointed out, that Japan is frequently hit by earthquakes and the resulting tsunami's.

Just because, and by no means am I trying to lessen the impact on the areas affected, the tsunami that is all over the news was a major one, doesn't mean that other parts of the world haven't been suffering through tsunami's of their own.

I would like to add that I was joking

I just found the idea of a 20 inch tsunami amusing, can you imagine it rolling toward you?

Spoken like somebody who has never lived at sea level on the coast. A 20" rise in water levels could flood a lot of things.

The place I was born at was flooded at the time because the river rose so high that year. I was recently in Indiana where flash floods ruined the house I was staying at just after I left. I know floods are a serious matter, it was just a light hearted comment, I'm sorry if it's caused offense.

I kinda agree, I don't see how anyone in Toyko could be concerned about a tsunami when they're able to recover and rebuild so well after being flattened by Mechagodzilla or whatever time and time again.

BTW, the new Godzilla DVD's are really good, the Japanese soundtrack makes it look far less cheesy (at least when monsters arn't on screen ) and the picture quality is surprisingly nice.
