  • Rest in peace Arthur Miller

Arthur Miller died of a heart attack last night aged 89. He's my favourite playwrite. He made such an outstanding contribution to the world of theatre, I hope he's happy wherever he is now.

I'm a little surprised no one else is upset at this. He never won the nobel prize for literature, but he is arguable the greatest american playwrite of your time.

Why it is sad to see such a great playwright die, it's hard to get upset over an 89 year old passing away.

He was a great playwright and I for one thoroughly enjoyed the works he produced, but as Jamm said, it's rather hard to get upset about someone passing away after such a long life.

People die. When it comes after at such an age I just don't understand why it has to be a sad affair.

Ok not upset as such, but I was just kind of updating those who might not have known and marking my respect for him.

I think it's more in the vein of being a cause to celebrate his life and works than being upset at his death.

In that case I'm surpised more aren't marking their celebration of his life in this thread.

Kvh I agree wit hyou entirely.
