    Yeah, I grew up in Canada. I was hoping some of our American friends would contrast my experience to their own.

    I just remembered one more story...

    My sister went to York University and they had a condom machine there. For a prank, someone attached a cardboard box to the vending machine with a sign which read, "For refund, insert baby here."

    I remember thinking it was very funny at the time.

    Hey, did you guys have condom vending machines in your high schools? I didn't for the first few years I was there. Then one year they were installed in one of the boy's washrooms and, IIRC, one of the girl's washrooms. There was a big controversy about the machines. The school was getting a lot of pressure on this from some parents group that was claiming the machines were promoting teenage sex. The machines would regularly be broken or out of stock and the school would take a very long time to have them repaired or replenished. This approach seemed to satisfy the parents group but pissed off a lot of students.
