Interesting story about plasmons
Plasmons are waves in the electron layer covering all physical objects. Presumably, by manipulating how plasmons reflect light, objects can be rendered essentially invisible.
If this pans out, at this rate of scientific discovery we could be reaching Alpha Centauri and enjoying a life expectancy of centuries well before the end of the century.
