  • Getting time for a change...

Ok people, it's getting time for a change.

What do you think of our current color scheme?

If you can think of a better color set, grab a copy of the main forums page, change the colors and drop it to me via email.

I will put up any sugestions I receive for comments/votes.

    change is good

And what's up with the campaign fund? Is it time again to start donating? I mean, I know we can donate anytime but I usually wait until the once-a-year, let's donate to MURC thread, before I do.
Ladies and gentlemen, take my advice, pull down your pants and slide on the ice.

ahh the replacement ads for google are more for my monitoring software.

I need to supply my own 'ad' to replace the public service ones, and thats the only way I can monitor how many google ads/ PSA's i get.

No objections to remain as is; it's sober and easy to follow.

I think it would be better to have a battery of a dozen smiles that appear at random in your ad. I have a feeling that seeing the same one day in and day out is going to jade and possibly send a negative, rather than a positive, message. IMHO.

I see it every day and it's never been a negative sight

I like it as it is.. except, why did we change our .url again?

I think if you put a pic of Jennifer Connelly smiling down there, it would elicit a much better response.

because we have been 'murc' as opposed to matroxusers for a long time.

and some evil domain squatter has murc.com

as for the changes, I downloaded vb3 last night, and the templates are not exactly the same, so I need to redo the templates, and we are getting a new news/frontend.

I don't want flashy, or 1000 styles to keep maint on, but apart from the ad/no ad choice, I'm willing to scoot up a few different color themes, particulary if anyone would like, lets say a black background with eye strain etc.

Not all change is good. I like it as is.

Layout is good, no need to change

                      Usually, change is good...
But I also like the site (colours, ...) the way it is. It doesn't mean I'm not open to improvements, but I'm not sure it will be easy to improve on this...

Well with vb3 the layout will change slightly. were not so far off stock vb layout, there are some changes in the menu bar system etc, that are part of vb3.

sadly the current portal isn't compatable, and its a PITA to maintain. So it will be changing.

Yes... but does it imply major changes (to colour, overall layout)? Or just changes to objects displayed (menu, buttons, ...)?

                            I like colors as is.

vB3 is much better, if you go to install it then it is a good change.
