The pelvis of a theropod (T-Rex type dino) has been found whose partial reproductive system was preserved along with eggs.
Looks like the anatomy is transitional; lying somewhere between those of archaic reptiles (crocs etc.) and birds.
The more discoveries are made in China the more it looks that modern birds really are the decendants of the therapods.
