Well...it's not ridiculous (but also not true OTOH...it's a little more complicated). And...well it doesn't insinuate such thing, but it's not a bad tool for looking that answer; whether it can be found or not is a different matter...
PS. What do you propose instead? (I guess not behaviorism... )
Oh I don't have a counterproposal. People ARE sheep. BAAAAAAAAAA!
The Internet - where men are men, women are men, and teenage girls are FBI agents!
I'm the least you could do
If only life were as easy as you
I'm the least you could do, oh yeah
If only life were as easy as you
I would still get screwed
No great surprises I'm afraid, just what we all probably guessed.
From a psychologist:
"Okay, I think it works on simple probability theory, here's how...
I couldn't find any mnemonics in the sums, so I suspect they were just a filler to focus your mind, and also to put you under a bit of pressure (most people dont like mental arithmetic).
Then, when you're asked about the colour and tool, the dominant (natural) response tendency will come through, because you're feeling under pressure.
I suspect that this is a bit of a Family Fortunes type thing, ie. we asked 100 people on Leicester high street to name a colour and 98% said red, name a tool 98% said hammer, etc
I suspect that red and hammer are the most common responses to colour and tool, put the two together and it gets something that looks really spooky, but is actually quite straightforward."
